The Dunes technology hub, located at Fontenay-sous-Bois, is an illustration of the digital adventure Société Générale and its employees have embarked on in recent years. This innovative site, which welcomed its first occupants in September 2016, is where most of the Bank’s IT functions are hosted.

Societe Generale Group has won third prize at the eCAC40 2016 Awards. This ranking, which is organised by Les Echos Business publication in partnership with Gilles Babinet, Digital Champion of France working with the European Commission, rewards CAC 40 index companies for their digital maturity. The award reflects Societe Generale’s major transformation and ranks it top among the most digital banks and financial institutions.

I am extremely pleased to say that Societe Generale has once again been placed among the winners of the 3rd annual eCAC40 awards, organised by the French newspaper Les Echos. Each year, the Bank confirms its place among the most innovative and agile CAC 40 companies in terms of digital technology. Digital transformation is our number one priority. It’s a strategic and operational challenge which involves the whole company, at all levels. A unique initiative in the corporate world
An orchestra and choir combining professional musicians and Societe Generale staff members: the third edition of Playing for Philharmonie de Paris will take place on 6 and 7 November, 2016 at the Paris Philharmonic. Playing for Philharmonie de Paris is a unique initiative in the corporate world enabling 300 amateur musicians from Societe Generale to play alongside musicians from the Les Siècles orchestra.
Asia Pacific Charity Bike Ride 2016 raised €150,000
The Asia Pacific Charity Bike Ride raised over EUR 150,000 thanks to these committed employees! Funds raised from this 7th edition will go to support 12 local charity partners in the region.
Signing charters for inclusion and diversity
Societe Generale has signed two international charters: the International Labour Organisation’s (ILO) Business and Disability charter, which promotes the inclusion of persons with disabilities in the workplace, and the United Nations Women Empowerment Principles. The signing of these two charters reaffirms Societe Generale’s commitment to inclusion and diversity. Their principles will apply in all the Group’s entities around the world.

The Dunes, a new 126,000 m2 building complex in Val-de-Fontenay where 5,000 Societe Generale employees working in technology will be based, is at the heart of the Group’s digital transformation. Its digital focus will be seen in the tools and services deployed there and in the open and collaborative working methods adopted. This was a major building project designed with the Group’s employees, in order to give them the resources to invent the bank of tomorrow.
